Research: Laura Mulvey




Blurred lines relates to Mulvey's theory as the women are barely wearing any clothes and the men are looking at certain body parts which draws the audience to also look. They also have close ups of certain body parts which also draws the audiences attention.

However critics say some women enjoy 'the gaze' and chose to wear less clothes to show off their body. Also some women make men look more sexually objective in music videos such as
