Behind The scenes - Green Screen ; Lady Pearl

Here are some pictures and a short video clip of the behind the scenes atmosphere whilst experimenting with the green screen

One key element we are planning to link together with our promotional video and ancillary is the colour scheme, black, white and gold. We will do this by our artist wearing these colour schemes and our background and font being black, white and gold. Also our main feature is a crown and eyebrows, so our aim is to show this through our ancillary and promotional video.

Hear are the songs we as Group 9 have considered doing. We wanted to do grime but with a female artist instead of a male to differ from the usual.

Pitch 1 - Song Choice
The song we as Group 9 is By Paigey Cakey and is called Same Way.
We all liked this song as it had a very powerful beat and lyrics that we felt were a decent speed to lip sync.
We also had many ideas for the video we would create to this song.
Our video will differ from the original as it will have more locations, the use of green screen and dance sequences.
Pitch 11 - Green Screen - Michella
We chosen to use green screen as a way to show illustration through performance. In videos such as Lady Leshurr - Queens Speech 4 and Stormzy - Know me from they have used props and animation as a way to illustrate their lyrics. Tine tempah has used green screen for the music video for Earthquake to create graphics.
Below is the storyboard for our green screen shots in the video.
The graphics will be clear and simply illustrate the lurics literally.
Pitch 12 - Post Production - Michella
Our music video will have 16 base tracks as we will film different angles in each of our 5 locations.
Car Park: In this location their will be 2 to 3 base tracks recorded. 1 tracking, another mid shot and another wide shot. These base tracks will be often visited in the 1st and 2nd verse.
Slow motion will be used at the start of the tracking sequence and the music video while the artist is walking. This will be altered by jump cuts.
Green screen: There will be 5 base tracks recorded on the green screen, these will be extreme close up, close up, mid shot, wide shot and a dance recorded in wide shot.
Discontinuos editing will be used from the close up shots, in the very start of the video, highlighting the characters body features.
Angel compound: We will film 3 base tracks here with a group of people from college. The shots here will consist of mid shot/close up, wide shot and a worms eye view shot.
Dance studio: In this location 3 base tracks will be shot in either mid shot or wide shot from the left, right and centre. The dancers movements will be slowed down in the verses.
Grafitti: 2 base tracks will be shot both in worm's eye view from left and right angles.
Pitch 6 - Setting and Location - Michella
For our music video we will have 5 locations.
We will be filming in the following locations:
Westfield Stratford Car Park
Angel compound (next to Angel Station)
Shoreditch for a Graffiti Background
City and Islington Sixth Form's
Media 333 (green screen) and the Dance Studio
We will be using these locations as we have seen these locations used before in videos and genres similar to ours. The most common loaction used is the car park setting used by lady leshurr, tinie tempah and more.

Pitch Q13 - Industry (Jordan)
Industry
It is likely that our artist won't be signed to a record label. not a lot of grime artists are signed to a record label. other examples of grime artists that are not signed to a record label include Stormzy and Paigey Cakey (the artist who made the song we are creating a video for).
our song will be available for internet download as our target audience is quite young meaning that they spend a lot of time on the internet. this means the song will be easy to access for our audience. i don't think our artist is known enough for people to actually go out and buy the single/album.
if we were to be signed we would be signed to an independent label as there aren't many mainstream record labels that support grime artists.

Pitch 9 - Lady Pearl Draft Digipak (Lady Pearl)
I created my draft Digipak using Photoshop
Our Main colors incorporated with our character are Gold, white and Black and so I have chosen to use these same colors for the Digipak. I've also included the synergy of the crown and the facial features (in particular her eyebrows) that Fleek. E will be most recognized for.
