I have chosen this video as the camera shots that they used in this video were execellent. also, the locations of were they filmed are perfect for this video.

These two shots are at the beginning of the video. the use of location and props really adds to the emotion conveyed through the song.

i like these particular shots as the location of where they have filmed is quite unique, the small pavement that the artist is standing on gives the illusion that he is in the middle of the road surrounded by cars and it adds to the effect of the lyrics.

This shot is near the end of the video. you can see how the brand image is shown throughout the video as one of the artists is wearing white and stands out from the other two artists who are wearing all black.

8. Favourite student music video

My favourite student music video was by this group from last year who covered Other side by Krept and Konan. I loved the concept as it was clearly executed and fulfilled the purpose of what a music video should do. It illustrated the lyrics perfectly through the use of a narrative. I really liked the fact that the costume used also illustrated the lyrics the use of black to represent mourning and the sudden change of the singer at the end symbolized him being dead.

In that sequence of the music video I liked the sudden transition with the camera dropping quickly and I feel it was an effective, smooth transition. Another transition I liked was when the artist dropped the flowers on the ground (camera) and it transitioned in the concrete floor upwards to the singer. Overall the transitions in the video are really smartly done and smooth.

I really enjoyed as it added focus to the emotion in the lip syncing. I also liked how there were many angles for each verses' scene and there was fluid movements that matched the feel of the song.

Lastly I liked the song choice and the camera which was used to make the video as it looks very professional.
