47. The importance and function of digipaks to the music industry

A digipak is used as a visual representation of the artist and their style of music.
Most CD cover have close ups of the artist, so that the buyer knows whose music they are buying.
They also have a theme that runs throughout the digipak aartwork such as the colours used, the font and synergy that may have a connection to a music video produced by the artist.

The theme of flowers in rihanna's music video for only girl in the world carried on into the ancillary of the CD cover which includes roses. This is how her digipak displayed synergyby using the roses as a clear and obvious link.
