Reflection of the music video

As a whole the music video was a success and everyone enjoyed it and we got positive feedback. In the making of the music video it was very stressful as we had to keep changing things in the editing process and time caught up to us and was unable to re-shooting certain parts in making the music video even better.

As a group we thought our first rough cut went very well. We got positive and negative feedback from our teachers and peers as they felt there wasn't much structure to the video. We then went on to taking  on their feedback to making our music video even better. As a group we was so please with the footage we achieved and was finding it hard to let go of some of the footage, i feel this was blocking us from having the best structure. So after the third rough cut our group sat down and planned what we're going to keep and let go. After having this clear plan made it easier in structuring our video. The first scene was in the car park then the choruses was the green screen and dance scene footage. Our second scene was the trickiest scene for us as our artist wasn't as strong lyrically so we was finding it hard to find good shots for the best lip sync. So in order to achieve the best results we decided to combine two base tracks in one verse as the artist was stronger in certain parts of each. Our last scene was with the black and gold back drop which we found was the strongest lyrically but did lack close ups. The last chorus of the song is a bridge so we decided to refer back to the base tracks that we used throughout the song.

I was extremely please with the green screen editing as it went perfectly to plan and as a group we received a good response. We was able to achieve our ambitious idea successfully of our dancer falling off our artist shoulder as well as the lyrics behind the artist.

Our music video stuck to our main idea in the pitch which makes the music video a success all the way through.
